What we collect
- Accounts: your email address and a securely hashed password.
- Contractor companies: company name and the contact phone and email you choose to show homeowners.
- Handoffs: customer names and email addresses, project details, and the items, photos, and documents a contractor adds.
- Activity records: a history of important actions (for example, when a handoff was published or shared) so contractors can see what changed.
How we use it
Only to run the service: showing contractors their own projects, showing homeowners the handoffs shared with them, and sending the emails the service needs (account confirmation, invitations, and update notices). We don't sell information, show ads, or use tracking or analytics cookies.
Who can see it
- Each contractor company sees only its own customers and projects.
- A homeowner sees a handoff only after accepting the contractor's invitation, and loses access if the contractor revokes it.
- Photos and documents are never public. Every download checks that the person is allowed to see it.
Services we rely on
These companies process information for us, only to provide their part of the service:
- Render hosts the application, database, and stored files in the United States.
- Resend delivers our emails.
- Anthropic reads a photo when a contractor chooses "Fill in from photo", to copy the text on a label or receipt into the form. Only that one photo is sent, and only when the button is pressed.
Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to protect forms from forgery. Your light or dark display choice is saved in your own browser.
Keeping and deleting information
Information is kept while the account is in use. You can download or delete your personal account data from your account settings. To have a company's projects deleted, contact us. Backups are kept for a short time and then removed automatically.
